What makes Dysport different?
Like Botox, Dysport is a neuromodulator that temporarily relaxes targeted facial muscles by blocking nerve signals. However there are some key differences.
Softer Diffusion: Its unique formulation allows it to diffuse more easily, making it especially effective for larger treatment areas, and it often feels "Lighter" to clients in terms of heaviness or stiffness. ​
Faster Onset: You may see visible changes within just 2–3 days and full results at 2 weeks, lasting 3-4 months. This is especially helpful if you require quicker onset when planning around events.
Different formulation: It is often an efficient choice for those with stronger musculature, who may not have responded to other neuromodulators, this is due to its diffusion and slightly different molecular weight and accessory proteins as compared to Botox.

How many units of Dysport will I need?
Dosing is highly individualized and depends on muscle strength, treatment area, desired outcome. Rather than standardizing units, we customize dosing to achieve balanced, natural results. Your provider will guide you through recommendations during your consultation.
When can I expect results with Dysport?
Results gradually begin to appear within 3-4 days and continue to improve with your final results at 2 weeks - this is when we advise a refinement visit to follow up on your results and make adjustments as indicated. Quicker onset may be beneficial with planning for events.
How long will Dysport last?

Will Dysport make me look frozen?

When should I start Dysport?
There is no universal age, many patients begin when they notice lines becoming more persistent. We usually recommend considering starting when you start to see fine etched lines at rest, even without expressing. Each product has unique characteristics. The better question is: what’s better for you? Dysport has greater diffusion which makes it ideal for creating a softer, more blended look, especially in the forehead. Botox is slightly more precise, with Jeuveau and Daxxify being even more precise. Many clients enjoy the quick onset and slightly longer duration they get with Dysport. All the neuromodualtors we use at TRUE are excellent, choice of toxin is usually made when considering client concerns and goals combined with clinical assessment.
CanI switch from Botox to Dysport or to other brands?
Yes absolutely. There is no harm in switching neuromodulators, and sometimes we’ll recommend it based on: your response over time; subtle differences in diffusion, and your aesthetic goals. What is important is continuity of care and understanding your treatment history so we may track how you respond over time and adjust when the need arises so we can consistently provide reliable and safe result over time, not just one good visit.
What makes a Dysport treatment look natural vs overdone?
Natural results come down to thoughtful dosing, precise placement, and an understanding of how the face moves as a whole, not just isolated lines. Injecting one muscle, always impacts other nearby muscle, they all interdigitate and your injectors should be well familiar with facial anatomy. Overdone results often occur when too much product is used or when treatment doesn’t account for overall facial balance. Dysport's more diffuse sprad may allow for a more natural, softer looking and feeling result.
