Precision Microneedling
Microneedling is one of the most effective treatments for stimulating natural collagen production and improving skin quality and ultimately, skin health.

At TRUE Aesthetic Clinic, our microneedling treatments go beyond traditional skin needling. Each session is performed by board-certified Nurse Practitioners, allowing for customized, advanced treatment protocols (no cookie cutter approaches), greater precision in depth selection, and supportive serums to aid in recovery.
Microneedling Improves The Appearance of:

Acne Scarring

Scars

Texture

Striae

Pigmentation

Skin Laxity

Wrinkles

Skin Density
At TRUE Aesthetic Clinic, our nurse practitioners utilize an FDA-cleared device with sterile ultra-fine needles to gently create controlled micro-channels in the skin, which stimulates the body’s natural wound-healing cascade and the subsequent production of collagen, glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and elastin.
While microneedling is FDA-approved for acne scarring, multiple studies have clinically supported its use can significantly improve the appearance of general scars, skin texture, lines, striae, and skin laxity, all through collagen remodeling.

Why is Collagen So Important?
Collagen is the primary structural protein responsible for the skin’s strength, elasticity, and youthful appearance. After 25 years old, collagen production naturally declines as part of the aging process at a rate of 1% per year, leading to progressive thinning of the skin and the development of fine lines, wrinkles, and laxity over time. This collagen loss is exacerbated by the fragmentation of existing collagen fibers and decreased fibroblast activity, which further impairs the skin’s ability to repair and regenerate itself. These structural changes are accelerated by environmental factors such as ultraviolet (UV) exposure, oxidative stress, and inflammation.

Microneedling can help activate fibroblasts and promote new collagen formation (up to 400%), helping to restore
skin thickness, elasticity, and overall skin quality.

New Data on Microneedling
Lets Get Nerdy: New data also suggests keratinocyte and DEJ stimulation at shallower depths improve skin structural integrity through the up-regulation of genes that produce collagen types IV, VII and XVII (as well as types 1 and 3), the up-regulation of anti-inflammatory growth factors, and the down regulation of MMPs and inflammatory growth factors/ cytokines. New applications for precision microneedling also include the treatment of acne.

At TRUE Aesthetic Clinic, our nurse practitioners bring a deep understanding of skin health, rejuvenation, and the physiology of wound healing. Each treatment plan is tailored to you, and thoughtfully designed using both foundational research and evolving clinical evidence.

Is Microneedling For Me?
"We generally recommend Microneedling for anyone looking to improve their skin texture, tone, clarity, anyone with early or moderate signs of collagen loss, anyone wanting long term collagen support, and especially if they are looking to avoid more aggressive resurfacing procedures."
Renuka Patel, NP

"I remind my regular Botox clients that while Botox is great, we know it isn't doing anything to fight aging skin and the loss of collagen. We have to address the health of your skin with good skincare and procedures like Microneedling. It will improve their Botox outcomes in the long run as well. It is also an excellent treatment for anyone wanting regenerative therapies, especially those who may not be ready for Botox."
Jigna Gandhi, NP
Customization isn't an upgrade, it's the standard of care.
The Collagen Reset
Our signature microneedling treatment, The Collagen Reset, is a series of three advanced sessions designed to improve skin quality through a personalized approach.

Your skin's presenting condition, level of inflammation, barrier integrity and healing response can change visit to visit. That's why each session within our Reset is intentionally adjusted, rather than repeated in a standardized way.

By tailoring the depth, technique, and supportive topicals used at each visit, we’re able to work with your skin's natural repair processes. Depending on your treatment plan, we may incorporate adjunctive options such as PRP or other clinician-directed enhancements, and each session may vary to ensure a thoughtful, individualized progression.

Treatment is followed by a plant-based exosome recovery mask and calming cryotherapy to visibly reduce redness and support recovery.

A professional post-treatment home care kit is included for continued support and recovery.
6 Ways The Collagen Reset
Helps Improve Your Skin - The Science
Triggering the Wound Healing Cascade
Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels that stimulate fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin. Our supportive recovery serums contain signaling peptides and plant-derived exosomes to amplify this response, supporting the formation of new collagen fibers and improved dermal structure.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I Really Need Three Microneedling Treatments?
The Collagen Reset was intentionally crafted based on hundreds of treatments and evidenced clinical outcomes. While a single treatment can improve skin texture and radiance, collagen remodeling is a gradual biological process that occurs over several weeks. Performing treatments in a series allows the skin to build upon each regenerative cycle, progressively increasing collagen density and improving dermal structure over time. Research evaluating microneedling outcomes has shown that multiple sessions produce significantly greater improvements compared with a single treatment.
For general concerns we recommend to start with The Collagen Reset which includes 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart.
For deeper acne scarring, more treatments may be needed, or the cadence of treatments may be changed.
After the initial Collagen Reset series is complete, we recommend 1 maintenance treatment every 2-6 months depending on your individual concerns.

Single sessions are also available to book - they do not include adjunct add ons that are included as standard in our Reset.
Why Provider Expertise Matters
At TRUE Aesthetic Clinic, all microneedling treatments are performed by board-certified Nurse Practitioners. Unlike many treatments performed in spa settings, medical providers are legally and safely able to customize needle depth based on skin thickness and anatomy, treat deeper acne scars, and provide safe supportive supportive post-care serums to reduce the incidence of needless irritation and other adverse effects. We do not use a cookie cutter standard approach to treatment, our Collagen Reset allows us to tailor treatments as we progress. This advanced approach allows us to deliver more effective collagen stimulation while maintaining the highest safety standards.
What Results Can I Expect with Microneedling?
Improvements occur gradually as the skin regenerates. In the first week following treatment, the skin begins its repair process. Patients often notice improved hydration and a subtle “glow” as circulation increases and the skin barrier begins to recover. During Weeks 2-4, Fibroblasts become more active and begin producing new collagen fibers within the dermis. During this stage, many patients begin to notice improvements in skin texture, tone, and pore appearance. As treatments are performed in a series, collagen production continues to build. Over time this can lead to improvements in acne scarring, skin smoothness, and overall skin quality. Collagen production continues for 3–6 months after treatment, as the skin rebuilds and reorganizes new collagen fibers. Improvements are noted up to one year after a series of 4 sessions. Because collagen naturally declines with age, periodic maintenance treatments can help support long-term skin quality and elasticity.
When is Microneedling Not Appropriate?
Microneedling may not be recommended for patients with active skin infections, history of skin cancer, certain inflammatory skin conditions, or those currently using medications that affect wound healing. Pregnant patients are not advised to undergo microneedling. We proceed with caution with clients on photosensitizing medications. During your consultation, our providers will evaluate your skin and discuss whether this treatment is the best option for your goals.
Is Microneedling Safe ForAll Skin Types?
Microneedling is considered safe for most skin types and tones when performed by trained medical providers. Because the treatment stimulates the body’s natural repair process without removing the top layer of skin, it carries a lower risk of pigment changes compared with some resurfacing procedures. However if you have a deeper skin tone and have never had a microneedling treatment, we encourage a consultation with our providers to ensure your skin is most adequately prepped to reduce risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
What is the Collagen Reset with PDGF?
The Collagen Reset with PDGF utilizes PDGF as a supportive serum, it is a a premium option for regenerative support, wound healing, those with significant collagen loss and is ideal for those prioritizing accelerated recovery.
Does Microneedling Hurt?
Most patients tolerate microneedling very well. A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to minimize discomfort, and many patients describe the sensation as mild pressure or vibration rather than pain. Afterwards it is normal to experience a mild burning sensation for the rest of the day and when washing your face. Our Collagen Reset Series also includes a cryo infusion mask with plant derived exosomes to immediately calm and soothe redness.
How Much Downtime Can I Expect with Microneedling?
Most patients experience redness similar to a mild sunburn for 24–48 hours after treatment. Mild dryness or flaking may occur as the skin begins its natural repair process. Most people are able to resume normal day to day activities the following day, whilst avoiding strenous exercise, excessive sun exposure, hot environments (steam, sauna) for a few days. The Collagen Reset includes specialized skin boosters allow for deeper treatments and faster recovery times.
How Should I Prepare For My Microneedling Treatment?
Generally we ask clients to avoid excessive sun exposure and discontinue strong exfoliating products such as retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), manual exfoliation including shaving/waxing/dermaplaning for a week prior to treatment. Consultations allow us to review your skincare routine and make further recommendations. Patients with deeper skin tones may further benefit by using some variation of topical melanin inhibitors for a few weeks prior to treatment to avoid risks of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Examples of melanin inhibitors include: niacinamide, azelaic acid, alpha arbutin, retinoids, vitamin c, hexylresorcinol, kojic acid, tranexamic acid, glutathione, etc.
Can Microneedling Be Combined with Other Treatments?
Yes. Microneedling can often be combined with other treatments depending on your skin concerns. For example, many of our clients will choose to do their quarterly wrinkle relaxer appointment and microneedling on the same day. During your consultation, your provider will recommend a treatment plan designed to support your long-term skin goals.
What Can I Expect for Microneedling Aftercare?
Immediately after treatment, the skin may appear red and feel warm, similar to a mild sunburn. This is a normal part of the skin’s inflammatory repair response and typically improves within 24–48 hours. We offer a soothing plant-based exosome mask which is cryo infused to soothe without eliminating the benefits of the inflammatory cascade. Some patients may also experience mild tightness or dryness and peeling (hello free chemical peel!) as the skin begins its natural healing process. Most patients can gently cleanse their skin the following morning, depending on provider instructions. You will be given specific post care instructions for the week including a professional at home post care kit with The Collagen Reset. Makeup is avoided for at least 24 hours, as well as hot environments, and exercise. You may resume your normal skincare in 5-7 days. You will also have immediate cell phone access to your provider if needed.
